Signals of the Air France Black Box have been detected by French Naval Vessels. These weak signals are presumably coming from flight data recorders which emit electronic pulses every second for at least 30 days.

The French have sent a high tech nuclear submarine to look for the black box which very well may be on the ocean floor. The ocean floor is about 5,000 yards deep and has strong currents making it difficult to locate the black box.
